PDF Viewer error

Post by atome » Mon Jul 12, 2010 11:34 am

Hi!
I'm trying to use .NET PDF viewer to view attached PDF file.
When I go to 6th page i get an Access Violation error and my app crash.
It also appens when viewing same PDF file from your Document Viewer sample app.
With Acrobat Reader I can view this PDF.
I have version 6.7.5.
Could you correct this problem, please?

Thank you.
Alessandro Tomè

Hi,

Our current beta release is able to handle your PDF without any crash. So the problem should be fixed into the next minor release.

Kind regards,

Loïc

Hi,

are you sure to really use the latest version ??

I tried on 10 different machines without any issue.

If the problem persists try send us your application including binaries you are using for investigation at http://suppport.gdpicture.com

Kind regards,

Hi Loïc,
I attach a sample project (split on 6 files). I use VS2008 on a 64bit machine with Vista and it crashes. It works On a Windows 7 and a different Vista 64bit.
Open previous attached PDF file and go to page 6.
Windows Evento Viewer said the problem occurs in ntdll.dll with code 0xc0000005.
I don't have any idea of the reason.

Hi,
I tried with version .NET 7.0.1 and the error still occurs.
I noticed that error comes out when user go from page 5 to 6. If I extraxt page 6 to a new pdf, I can open it without problems.
Could you give me a special build that helps you to solve the problem?

Thanks.

Hi,
I solved the problem myself installing ALL Microsoft updates on the machines where there was the problem!
Now it works.

Bye.
