15 - 20 pixels on scan / ocr still true?

Post by dmac411 » Thu Jul 16, 2009 11:16 pm

Hi GDPicture,

We want to evaluate your product for scanning medical records and read in your FAQ
that quality of text must be at least 15-20 pixels other wise accuracy is not guaranteed.

1. Is this still true?
2. Do you offer a work around without us having to go and purchase another SDK for scanning/ocr functions?

We are anxious to download the evaluation and commit to the SDK but need clarity on this matter asap.

Sincerely,

Dmac411

Hi,

1 - With OCR there is no "always true" or "always false". We only suggest to have a minimum font size to get accurate result. If you char size seems too lower, we suggest to scale the image using the Resizing function of the toolkit.

2- See first reply.

With best regards,

Loïc
