Hi

I'm just trying out the evaluation gdPicture software for .NET. I'm using the Document Viewer with Thumbnail example in VB.NET.

I have opened up a PDF file which has been created from a CAD package and I'm trying to extract the text that is present in the document. When I open the PDF the image is correctly orientated but for me to use 'Show text within the area of selection' I need to rotate the image anticlockwise for the text to be read correctly. So its starting orientation does not match what the reader is looking for.

I have tried this with other PDF files and if you rotate the image the 'Show text within the area of selection' does not work correctly.

What do I need to do to correct this?

This problem will be fixed for the next release. Please, way a couple of days to get it.

I have downloaded the newer version which is now showing gdPicture as version 6.4.0.4. When using your Document Viewer with Thumbnails example as I was before, no PDF files are loading. The document viewer remains blank. I can open jpg's. If I go back to Version 6.4.0.1 then I can open PDF's. What do I need to do to carry on with my evaluation?

Hi Paul,

I think deleting the obj and the bin folders of your project should solve your problem.
