PDFSearchText Feature request

I need the PDF.

I tried:

Code: Select all

GdViewer1.PdfSearchText("co", 0, False, True)

And nothing is highlighted. This is the good behavior bebause WholdWords is set to True.

Then I tried:

Code: Select all

GdViewer1.PdfSearchText("co", 0, False, False)

And words such CORN, CONTRACT, Cooperative, ACCOUNT are highlighted. Which is also the good behavior.

What am I missing ? We produce the exact same result that standard search mechanism, and Adobe reader have the exact same behavior.

OK Bob I found the problem. You are using an overloaded method which has a bug.
It is fixed now for the next release that should come within 7 days.
If you need an urgent fix we can send you a beta version of 8.2. Just create a ticket to https://www.gdpicture.com/support/getting-support-from-our-team to get it.

I think both of the overloads that have MatchCase have this bug as I tried reverting back to that overload and got the same results. I am leaving tomorrow for a customer conference and will not be able to work on anything until after Monday, so getting this fixed is not super urgent and we will avoid using that part in a demos.

I confirm that the problems occurred in 2 overloaded versions.

If there is no release of GdPicture 8.2 before next Monday, feel free to ask us a stable beta release. We will deliver it in no time.
