Hello,
I'm trying the annotation plugin and I wonder if it is possible to hide the red border that is automatically shown around a connectedline annotation when the user selects it. Using the selection handler I just want to change the stroke color when the user selects an annotation and i already succeeded on this.

No, it is not possible. Once the annotation is selected, the selection rectangle is displayed. If you deselect the annotation, the selection rectangle disappears. It is the common behaviour of the selection rectangle.
