Hi,
since the ocx is really usefull for a huge ammount of operations, I have to ask for a couple of new features if not already present or similar.

Is it possible to insert, remove, (replace) a page from a Multipage tif file in a given position with compression? Please if you are planning to develop
these features we would really appreciate to know an approximate date so we can find an alternative temporary solution before using you Imaging component for all these needed operations as a permanent solution.

Thanks in advance.

Sly

PS: Keep up with the hard work!!

Hi Sly.

We are already developing these features for the GdPicture V5 release.

We have already implemented these methods:

TiffAppendPageFromFile()
TiffAppendPageFromImage()
TiffInsertPageFromFile()
TiffInsertPageFromImage()
TiffSwapPages()
TiffDeletePage()
TiffIsMultiPageImage()
TiffSaveMultiPageImage()

However the GdPicture V5 is a major release and we need a little time to finalize and test everything. I think it will be available within 2 months.

All I can say today for the next GdPicture V5 features:

- It will be able to read / write a lot of new image formats: (JPEG 2000, PhotoShop files (read only), Kodak PhotoCD files (read only), Targa, WBMP, EXR and many others...)
- It will be >30% faster to load image files.
- It will contain many improvements to read very large image files.
- Better tiff decoder support.
- Better tags support.
- Better and easier edition of existing multipage tiff.
- We are looking for another PDF rendering engine but we haven't found it yet.
- And other new futures issues...

Best regards,

Loïc
