How To Add Annotations Programmatically

Post by ssaunders » Wed Nov 27, 2013 7:01 am

Can you possibly provide example code for creating annotations programmatically in VB.Net? I cannot find any example other than the Sticky Note using Annotation Manager. I'm creating an application that will display both PDF and TIF documents in a GdViewer control, but need to create zones to OCR in code. When I create a rectangle to OCR, I want to create a visual rectangle (with color border and background color like a highlighter) so the user can see where the OCR zones are on the page. Any help getting me going in the right direction is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I would recommend you use the Highlighted Regions of the GdViewer instead of the Annotations. They are by definition rectangular regions on the GdViewer that have a back color and a border color:

You can also disable or enable the user editing of the regions.

Best ,
